Research Report

The research report is a process of collecting information from knowledgeable resources, such as books, magazines, software, internet, scientists and other professionals. Your research report should include all of the following:

  1. Cover page – having Title, Research report, Name, grade and date.
  2. General information - Give as much pertinent general information on your topic as is possible.  You may wish to use headings and sub-headings to help you organize this information.
  3. Specific Information - Give as much specific information on your topic as possible.  In some subject areas it will be very difficult, if not impossible, to locate any amount of specific information but you are expected to do a very thorough search of references.
  4. Bibliography - This is a list of all the books and other materials that are used in preparing your research report.  There is a very specific way that you list sources in your bibliography and you are expected to follow the directions that will be given to you.
  5. Fill out research report guideline sheet and hand in before the end of September.

WARNING - Your research report is to be written in your own words. Under no circumstances is it to be copied from references. Copying is a form of stealing!  Should you copy any or all of your research report, you will receive a failing grade.
